USING SKILLS FOR MISSION
"...and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer." Judg.5:24
The greatest writer in the whole universe is none else than the creator of the universe Himself, the only Holy One who writes in the hearts of men and that's why He is called "The Writer". Manifold writers we have but He is the only One who could be called "The" Writer because He is the sorely One who could inscribe indelible words in the hearts of men to transform them into perfect images which He desires. Nothing written by a man could cause a permanent change in the lives of the readers except the Maker Himself writes through such man. Therefore, no one could write to that effect except the Writer's Pen is being handled by a right mind on whose heart the Writer (God) Himself has written for him to write to the World which even after the man is gone to meet his Maker in Glory yet the pieces written will leave behind an indelible mark of peace on the hearts of men. What then do you have at Hand? The Writer's Pen or your personal pen? You must handle the Writer's Pen by allowing Him to first write upon your heart. Through writing, one could bring the dead men back to life if only you permit the Writer to inscribe His Minds through word into your heart.
"And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men." Mark 1:17
A man is always being made before he becomes, there's so much greatness God in His great mercies have deposited into everyone of us but only those who submit themselves to be made by the One who put it there will be able to live in fulfillment of it. There are innate gifts everyone have but not all will live to the fulfillment of it because fulfillment only comes when God has been pleased by the way the gift is being used and this could only comes to reality in the lives of those who know the Giver and have been made by Him. The first four disciples were talented fishermen because that was their innate gifts but in the real sense they were supposed to be fishers of men i.e their talents according to the Giver is to catch men for Him and not fishes but this wasn't achieved until they were being made to become who they were actually designed to be in life. Many today who hasn't known their Maker and those who hasn't been thoroughly made by Him are misusing the talents which the Maker has graciously given to them because instead of using it to catch men for Him, they are using it to catch fishes (that which they will eat) and their Maker who is the Holy God isn't pleased with them but yet He won't withdraw that which has been given and made with them because the gift of God is without repentance, however, they can never find fulfillment in life. Friends! Are you not displeasing your Maker in the way you use the precious gifts He has given you? Are you not using them to satisfy your own lust (catching fishes) or planning to do so? Or you are ashamed of using it for your Maker? When actually what your Maker desires of you is to use it in advancing His Kingdom, are you not looking for fame or what you will eat with it? Or are you not wasting away by not using it at all (because "the gift of a man maketh way for him")? All those things should not be your desire but seeking the Kingdom of God with it should be because that which you actually need would surely be added up in the process of pleasing your Maker. You can't find what you are actually looking for until you find the One who put it there and you can't use it well even if you find it by chance if you have not known the Maker of it. In the same vein, you can't find fulfillment through it until you have been made by the Maker to please Him sorely with that which you already have. With that sorely you can become who you are actually designed to be in life, then, God who is your Maker will be pleased with you. Friends! Cease from running after worldly things today and rise to discover, enhance and harness your skills for your Maker in advancement of His Kingdom that He may welcome you as "thou faithful servant" when we eventually meet Him in Glory.
